You can cancel a Chuze Fitness membership three ways: sign the cancellation form at any Chuze location, cancel from your account at memberservices.chuzefitness.com, or cancel in the Chuze app (membership photo → Membership → Cancel). Chuze requires 10 days’ written notice before your monthly billing date, and cancelling inside a 12-month commitment may cost a $58 cancellation fee (Chuze Fitness FAQ, checked 5 October 2026).

Two billing details are worth checking before you cancel. Your annual fee is charged 45 days after your enrollment date and then once a year after that. And a $2.99 processing fee is added each time dues, annual fees or other recurring charges are billed to a credit card; Chuze says paying by bank account (ACH) avoids it.

If you only need a break, Chuze offers a paid freeze for up to 6 months in a calendar year, plus medical and military holds with documentation. Each option is covered below.

TIPS

Your membership agreement sets the exact terms for your plan, including any 12-month commitment. Chuze’s FAQ refers you to the agreement for freeze terms, so keep your copy handy.

Keep proof of every cancellation: a copy of the signed form, or a screenshot or email from the portal or app. BBB complaints filed June–August 2026 include members billed after cancelling; in its published replies Chuze confirmed the accounts were closed and, in one case, issued a $143.09 refund (BBB, checked 5 October 2026).

Chuze Fitness Notice Period, Cancellation Fee and Refund

Notice period: Chuze requires “a 10 day written notice prior to any monthly billing date to cancel and avoid any future charges.” Example: if your next billing date is November 15, cancel by November 5. The same 10-day notice applies if you are on a 12-month commitment. 

Cancellation fee: If you cancel within a 12-month commitment, “you may be subject to a $58 cancellation fee prior to cancellation.” Chuze’s FAQ does not mention a cancellation fee for other memberships.

Refund: Brand-new memberships have a 5-day buyer’s remorse window: “If you notify Chuze Fitness of your intent to cancel within 5 business days, you will receive a full refund.” Outside that window, the FAQ does not describe refunds of dues already billed.

Ways to Cancel Your Chuze Fitness Membership

By Visiting Any Chuze Fitness Location

Chuze’s FAQ says you may cancel “by coming in to any Chuze location and signing our cancellation form.” It does not have to be your home club.

1. Go to any Chuze location: Visit the club nearest to you while it is open. 
2. Ask to cancel: Tell the front desk you want to cancel your membership. 
3. Sign the cancellation form: Complete and sign Chuze’s cancellation form at least 10 days before your next billing date.
4. Check for a commitment fee: If you are still inside a 12-month commitment, ask whether the $58 cancellation fee applies to you.
5. Keep a copy: Ask for a copy of the signed form and note the date.

Online at memberservices.chuzefitness.com or in the Chuze App

Chuze calls the member services site “the easiest option” if you can’t cancel in person. The screens sit behind your member login, so the labels you see may differ slightly from the steps below.

1. Sign in: Go to memberservices.chuzefitness.com and log in to your member account.
2. Find the cancel option: Open your membership details and choose to cancel. 
3. Follow the prompts: Complete each screen until the request is submitted, at least 10 days before your next billing date. 
4. Save proof: Screenshot the final screen and keep any confirmation email. 

In the Chuze app: tap your membership photo in the top right-hand corner, then Membership, then Cancel, and follow the prompts. Save a screenshot of the last screen.

Billing portal vs. cancellation: myiclubonline.com is Chuze’s billing portal for updating payment details or paying a bill. Chuze’s FAQ points cancellations to memberservices.chuzefitness.com, the app or a club instead. Other gyms, such as Retro Fitness, also use myiclubonline for billing.

Freeze or Hold Instead of Cancelling

Paid freeze: any member can freeze “for a discounted monthly fee for up to a maximum of 6 months at a time in a calendar year,” for any reason and without documentation. The annual fee is still charged on its original date, and if you are in an agreement term, the contract is extended by the number of months frozen. Medical and military holds need documentation:

• Medical: a temporary medical situation in which you are unable to use the facility for a specified amount of time.
• Military: a temporary active-duty transfer or deployment to a location more than 25 miles from a Chuze Fitness location. 

How to Freeze or Hold Your Chuze Membership

Chuze handles freezes and holds at your home club or in the Chuze Fitness Mobile app.

1. Choose where: Stop by your home club or open the Chuze Fitness Mobile app.
2. Ask for the freeze or hold: Request a paid freeze (up to 6 months in a calendar year) or a medical or military hold.
3. Give your details: Provide your account details and the months you want to freeze. 
4. Add documentation for a hold: Medical and military holds need documentation; the paid freeze does not.
5. Keep confirmation: Note the freeze start and end dates, and remember the annual fee still bills on its usual date.

Downgrade option: You can downgrade in the club with 10 days’ notice before your billing date. Chuze charges a $10 downgrade fee, and “certain term limits may also remain.”

A Retro Fitness cancellation takes effect seven days after you submit it, and a payment that falls due in those seven days is still processed. The quickest official route is the Manage Membership button on retrofitness.com; you can also cancel through your home club by phone, email or mail, or hand the manager a signed letter.^[1] Save the confirmation screen or your sent email as proof of the date you asked.

Which Retro Fitness membership do you have? It decides when you can cancel

Before you pick a method, check your membership agreement for the plan type. The cancellation steps are the same for everyone, but whether you can stop paying right away depends on the contract.

If you’re on an installment plan and want to leave early, ask your home club for the remaining balance in writing before you cancel.

Cancel by email, phone or mail through your home club

Retro Fitness also accepts cancellations by phone, mail or email, handled by your home club.^[1] Email is the better choice of the three, because the sent message is your written record.

1. Look up your home club’s email address and phone number with the Find a Gym page.^[3]
2. Email your home club, or the central address listed on the cancellation policy page, and say you want to cancel your membership.^[1]
3. Include your full name, your home club and the email or phone number on your account, since Retro Fitness may ask for a small amount of information to confirm your identity.^[1]
4. Ask the club to reply with the date your cancellation takes effect, and keep that reply.

Tip: if you call instead, ask the club to confirm the cancellation by email.

To cancel by mail, send your letter to your home club’s address from the club finder.^[3] Certified mail isn’t required, but a trackable service shows when the letter arrived.^[1]

Cancel in person with a signed letter

Bring a signed and dated cancellation letter to your home gym’s manager.^[1] Put these details in the letter:

• Your full name and the email or phone number on your account
• Your home club
• A clear line saying you’re canceling your membership
• The date and your signature

Ask the manager for a copy of the letter with the date it was received.

Retro Fitness cancellation notice: 7 days (3 days in New York)

Cancellations generally need seven days’ notice, and they take effect seven days after you submit them. A payment due during that period is processed.^[1]

Members in New York state need to give only three days’ notice.^[1]

Example: your monthly payment is due on the 15th. If you cancel on the 10th, the cancellation takes effect on the 17th, so the payment on the 15th still goes through. Cancel by the 7th and it takes effect before that payment date.

Freeze or transfer instead of canceling

Membership freezes are available; contact your club to set one up and ask what it costs.^[2]

A freeze may not pause every charge: in an April 2025 reply to a member, Retro Fitness said the annual fee still applied during a freeze period, so ask your club before you freeze.^[4]

If you’ve moved closer to another Retro Fitness, a transfer may suit you better. Check in at least 7 times in a calendar month with at least 60% of those check-ins at the new club, and your membership transfers automatically the following month.^[2]

Still charged after you cancel?

Proof of your request matters most here. In an April 2026 reply to a member’s complaint, Retro Fitness declined to waive that member’s past-due balance because it had no cancellation form on file.^[4]

Send your request to your current home club. In a June 2025 case, a member’s letter went to an address that Retro Fitness said was not the correct location.^[4]

If your club won’t process the request by phone, email the central address on the cancellation policy page and keep a copy.^[1]

As of October 4, 2026, Retro Fitness’s BBB profile showed 11 complaints in the last 3 years, 4 of them in the last 12 months.^[4] If you’re thinking of joining another chain instead, compare cancellation rules at other gyms before you sign.

Can I cancel my Retro Fitness membership on the app?

The cancellation policy doesn’t list the app. Use the Manage Membership button on retrofitness.com, or contact your home club by phone, email or mail, or with a signed letter.^[1]

Is there a Retro Fitness cancellation fee?

Not for a month-to-month contract or within three business days of signing. On other installment plans you finish the payments in your agreement unless the law allows otherwise, so ask your club for the amount in writing.^[1]

Can I cancel my Retro Fitness membership over the phone?

Yes. Call your home club, using the number on the Find a Gym page, and ask for an email confirming the date the cancellation takes effect.^[1][3]

When is the Retro Fitness annual fee charged?

To cancel an Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) membership, submit the Membership Cancellation form on orangetheory.com, which goes to the Orangetheory corporate office, or contact your home studio. Orangetheory lists its month-to-month memberships with a 30-day cancellation notice, so depending on your billing date, one more monthly payment can fall inside that window.

Your home studio handles your account and confirms the cancellation, and agreements signed at a studio can differ. BBB complaints filed in March and May 2026 describe 12-month contracts, studios asking for an in-person signature, and online requests with no follow-up. Read your own membership agreement for its notice period and the cancellation methods it lists, and keep written confirmation.

If you only need a break, Orangetheory’s memberships page lists freeze privileges of up to 60 days, up to 2 times a year, which may suit you better than cancelling.

Ways to Cancel Your Orangetheory Fitness Membership

Online Cancellation Form

Orangetheory links its Membership Cancellation form from the footer of its website, and the form is submitted to the Orangetheory corporate office.

1. Open Orangetheory’s Membership Cancellation page.
2. Complete the form with the name, email and phone number on your membership, and choose your home studio (the studio that bills you).
3. Submit the request and save a screenshot of the confirmation screen.
4. Watch for a confirmation from your home studio. If none arrives within a few business days, call the studio and ask for your final billing date in writing.

Orangetheory’s 30-day cancellation notice still applies after you submit the form, so keep the confirmation until you see that billing has stopped.

Some members report that their studio still asked for an in-person signature after an online request (BBB complaint, March 2026). If your agreement lists other cancellation methods, point the studio to that clause.

By Email or Phone to Your Home Studio

Orangetheory’s contact page sends account questions to your studio: “Call the studio or stop by the front desk to speak with the studio manager if you have questions about your account.” Email is not listed as an official cancellation channel, but a written request gives you a dated record, and a member agreement quoted in a March 2026 BBB complaint allowed cancellation by phone, email, mail or in person.

1. Use Orangetheory’s studio finder to find your home studio’s email address or phone number.
2. Send a cancellation request using the template below, or call the studio and ask to cancel.
3. Ask the studio to confirm the cancellation and your final billing date in writing.
4. If the studio asks you to come in and sign a form, ask whether the online form can be used instead, or go in and keep a copy of what you sign.

You can also go to your home studio’s front desk, which Orangetheory’s contact page names for account questions.

1. Go to your home studio while the front desk is staffed.
2. Ask to cancel your membership, or ask for the studio manager.
3. Sign the studio’s cancellation form if it uses one, and ask for a copy.
4. Get confirmation of the cancellation and your final billing date in writing or by email.

If only the studio manager can finalize the request, ask when it will be processed and follow up until you have written confirmation.

How can I cancel a booked class on Orangetheory?

You can cancel a class you booked in the Orangetheory app. Orangetheory’s app FAQ says studios mark members who booked but did not attend as late canceled, but its website does not publish the cancellation cutoff or any late-cancel fee, so check your studio’s class policy.

1. Open the Orangetheory app and sign in.
2. Go to your upcoming booked classes.
3. Select the class, choose the cancel option and confirm.
4. If you use a class pack, check that the class was credited back. Orangetheory says this can take up to 2 hours.

FAQs

Snap Fitness gyms are independently owned, so you cancel with your home gym: call it, email it or visit in person, or use a Click to Cancel option if your gym’s website shows one. Most memberships need 30 days’ notice, and you pay dues for those 30 days, which may mean a prorated final payment.^[1] Email is the easiest to prove later, so keep the gym’s reply.

Which gym handles your Snap Fitness cancellation?

Your home gym handles your membership and billing. It isn’t always the gym where you signed up: Snap Fitness automatically transfers your membership to the gym you attend most often.^[1]

If you’re not sure which gym that is, open the Snap App and go to Profile > Settings > My Membership > View Payment History. The payment report includes your club’s contact info.^[2]

Snap Fitness 30-day notice: what you’ll still pay

Most Snap Fitness memberships require 30 days’ notice. You’re responsible for dues only for the 30 days after your notice, and that may require a prorated final payment.^[1]

There are four ways to cancel. Online is quickest for monthly members; prepaid and limited-term members should use the Contact Us page or their club.

Members with a Monthly Payment membership can cancel from their online account:

1. Log in to your account at 24hourfitness.com.
2. Open the Cancel Membership page.
3. The page offers 30% off your next 3 months’ dues if you stay. Choose No thanks (“I’d still like to cancel my membership”).
4. Complete the cancellation in your account and save the confirmation.

The retention offer is only for Monthly Payment memberships. If you’d rather keep training at a lower price, choosing Yes keeps your membership active.

Have a limited-term or prepaid membership? The cancel page tells you to see a team member in club or contact 24 Hour Fitness through the Contact Us page, so use method 2 or 4 below.

2. Cancel Through the Contact Us Page

1. Open the Contact Us page.
2. Enter your name, email, phone number and home club.
3. Pick the membership or cancellation topic and say clearly that you want to cancel. Include your membership agreement number or check-in code.

24 Hour Fitness Cancellation Policy

Right to Cancel After Signing

Many states give gym members a short right-to-cancel period after signing. The number of days depends on your state, so check the cancellation section of the agreement you signed rather than relying on one figure.

Monthly Membership Cancellation Rules

• Monthly Payment memberships: can be cancelled online from your account through the Cancel Membership page.
• Commitment memberships: early cancellation follows the terms in your agreement. If you freeze during the commitment period, the commitment is extended by the length of the freeze.
• Moving away: in a 2026 BBB reply, 24 Hour Fitness said a relocation request needs a new residence more than 25 miles from your Club of Enrollment and written evidence of the move.
• Annual Fee: the agreement can require a yearly Annual Fee, which is non-refundable.

Add-On Memberships and How They Work

• If other members (for example family add-ons) are billed to your payment method, name each one when you cancel and ask that every membership on the account is closed.
• If you pay another member’s dues and only want to stop paying, ask 24 Hour Fitness to remove your payment authorization or cancel that membership.
• Check your next statement. Report any charge you don’t recognize within 30 days, the window 24 Hour Fitness gave in a September 2026 BBB reply.

How to Freeze your 24 Hour Fitness Membership

If your break is temporary, you can ask for a freeze instead of cancelling. 24 Hour Fitness’s Member Policies set these conditions:

1. Make sure your account is in good standing: initiation fees paid and dues and Annual Fee up to date.
2. Ask for the freeze at least 10 days ahead, at your club or through the Contact Us page.
3. Send written proof: a physician’s note, transfer, deployment or volunteer-assignment orders, or an employer letter on company letterhead.
4. Keep the confirmation that shows the freeze start and end dates.

Dues stop during an approved freeze and club access is suspended, but the Annual Fee (plus tax) is still charged while the membership is in effect. A prepaid membership is extended by the length of the freeze instead.

Who can Freeze or Hold Membership?

Four reasons qualify for a standard freeze. For transfers and volunteer assignments, the new location must be more than 25 miles from the nearest 24 Hour Fitness club you can use.

Qualifying reasons and lengths:

• Medical disability: 3–6 months, with written verification from your physician.
• Temporary employment transfer: 3–6 months, with a letter from your employer on company letterhead.
• Extended volunteer assignment: 3–6 months, with a copy of the assignment orders.
• Active-duty military transfer: no minimum or maximum, with a copy of your orders.
• Extended freeze for other reasons: you can ask for one; the maximum is 12 months.

How to Reactivate (Unfreeze) Your Membership?

Most freezes end on their own. To come back early, contact your club or use the Contact Us page. What happens at the end depends on the type of freeze:

• Standard freezes: the membership reactivates and your monthly EFT or card payment restarts automatically at the end of the freeze.
• Military freezes longer than 6 months or with no end date: these are the exception to automatic reactivation, so contact 24 Hour Fitness when you’re ready to return.
• Extended freezes: if 24 Hour Fitness doesn’t hear from you to reactivate or extend within 12 months, your membership agreement may be terminated.

24 Hour Fitness Cancellation FAQs

Month-to-month LA Fitness memberships can be canceled at any time through your online account, in person at a club’s front desk, or by written notice mailed to P.O. Box 54170, Irvine, CA 92619. If you mail it, get it postmarked at least 5 business days before your next billing date.^[1] Whichever way you cancel, keep the confirmation or your mailing receipt until a statement arrives with no new charge.

Cancel LA Fitness online through your account

You’ll need your LA Fitness username and password.

1. Go to the LA Fitness login page, enter your Username and Password, and select Sign in. Use Forgot your username? or Forgot your password? if you’re locked out.^[3]
2. After you sign in, look for the cancellation option in your account.
3. If you don’t see one, open the Member Services contact page and choose Take me to where I can cancel online.^[2]
4. Save or screenshot the confirmation, and keep any email LA Fitness sends you about the cancellation.

Tip: the same account menu has a Freeze link, if you’d rather pause than cancel.

Cancel at an LA Fitness club’s front desk

You can also cancel in person: go to the front desk at a club.^[1] Find a nearby club’s address with the club locator.^[4]

Bring photo ID and ask for a written or emailed confirmation that shows the date of your request and the date your membership ends.

Cancel LA Fitness by mail: P.O. Box 54170 and the 5-business-day rule

LA Fitness recommends registered or certified mail and keeping a record for your files.^[1]

1. Write a short letter saying you’re canceling your LA Fitness membership. Include your full name, address, phone, the email on your account and your home club.
2. Sign and date it, and keep a copy.
3. Send it by registered or certified mail to LA Fitness, P.O. Box 54170, Irvine, CA 92619.^[1]
4. Make sure the postmark is at least 5 business days before your next billing date, and keep the mailing receipt.^[1]

Can you cancel LA Fitness by email, phone or the app?

Email: only if your agreement allows it. LA Fitness says that, depending on your state of enrollment, you may be able to cancel by email.^[1] Check your agreement first; if it doesn’t mention email, use one of the three methods above.

Phone: phone isn’t one of the cancellation methods LA Fitness lists.^[1] For questions, use the Member Services contact form, where Cancel is one of the topics; replies come from contactus@fitnessintl.com.^[2]

App: the LA Fitness Mobile app’s store listing covers check-in, classes, personal training and court bookings, not canceling or freezing.^[5] Cancel through your account on lafitness.com instead.

LA Fitness contract terms: termination fee and your prepaid last month

Some agreements have an initial term of three months or more. This covers memberships, personal training and other agreements.^[1]

Your agreement sets the termination fee, so ask your club or Member Services for the amount in writing before you decide. LA Fitness also points members with questions about term or paid-in-full cancellations to their local club or its contact page.^[1]

Your prepaid last month

After you cancel, you can still use the club for any prepaid time. If you prepaid your last month’s dues when you joined, that month follows the last regular payment made before LA Fitness received your notice, and your membership expires at the end of it.^[1]

LA Fitness freeze fees: pause instead of canceling

To freeze online, log in and select Freeze in the left side menu.^[1] The cost depends on how you pay dues.

If your next billing date is within 10 days, a monthly or bi-weekly freeze starts with the following billing.^[1] When you unfreeze, you’re charged a pro-rated part of your regular dues for that period.

Former XSport Fitness members

On July 16, 2024, Fitness International, which runs LA Fitness, announced it would take over operations of XSport Fitness’ 35 locations. It said it would honor the active membership agreements it bought, at their current rates, including personal training.^[6]

If your club used to be an XSport, cancel with the LA Fitness methods above and keep a copy of your original XSport agreement. Don’t rely on old XSport phone numbers, addresses or notice rules.

Still billed after canceling LA Fitness?

Billing usually starts to process 3 to 5 days before your bill date, so a charge right after you cancel may already have been in progress.^[1] If you mailed your notice within 5 business days of billing and were charged once more, ask Member Services to refund it; LA Fitness says it will refund that extra charge.

1. Contact Member Services. Use the contact form, choose Cancel, and add the last 4 digits of the account you’re billed on.^[2] Attach or describe your confirmation or mailing receipt.
2. Visit your club. Bring the same proof to the front desk and ask them to check the cancellation date on your account.^[1]
3. Ask your bank or card issuer. If the charge still isn’t fixed, ask how to dispute it, and send your proof of cancellation.

In August 2025 the FTC sued the companies that operate LA Fitness, alleging that canceling was too hard.^[7] LA Fitness hasn’t been found liable, and as of October 2026 the FTC lists the case as pending, with an amended complaint filed January 26, 2026.^[8]

Can you cancel an LA Fitness membership at any time?

Yes, if it’s month to month or you’re past your initial term. Inside an initial term of three months or more, your cancellation takes effect when the term ends, and leaving earlier means a termination fee.^[1]

Does LA Fitness have a cancellation fee?

Only for leaving an agreement before its initial term ends; your agreement sets the amount.^[1] If you just want a break, a monthly-dues freeze costs $10 a month.

Do I need a form to cancel LA Fitness by mail?

LA Fitness lists written notice of cancellation as the mail method, so a signed letter with your name, contact details and home club fits that wording.^[1] If your club gave you a cancellation form, you can mail that instead; either way, send it registered or certified and keep the receipt.

Your home club cancels an Anytime Fitness membership, not corporate, and the Membership Agreement you signed there sets the notice period and any fee.^[1][2] Find the club with the Anytime Fitness club locator: its page on anytimefitness.com has a Cancel my membership section with a ready-made request that asks for your full name, phone number and reason.^[4][5] Keep a copy of what you send and ask the club to confirm the cancellation date in writing.

Start with your home Anytime Fitness club and your Membership Agreement

Your home gym is the Anytime Fitness you joined to visit most often, and it’s where you manage your membership.^[3] Your membership lets you work out at any location, but your account stays with your home gym unless it’s transferred.^[2]

Each club is independently owned and operated, and each state has different cancellation policies, so the rules come from your own agreement rather than a single national policy.^[1] Read it before you contact the club; if you can’t find your copy, ask the club for one.

What to look for in your agreement

• The notice period, and how notice has to be sent.^[2]
• Any fee for ending the contract early, which your location’s agreement sets.^[2]
• Your term: some gyms offer 6, 12 and 18-month options, and pricing varies by location.^[3]
• Late payment fees, which also sit in the agreement, in case a draft hits while your request is pending.^[2]

Cancel Anytime Fitness with your club page’s Cancel my membership request

The request on the club page is worded as an email to your home club, and it covers personal training, nutrition or recovery agreements with that club as well.^[5]

1. Open the club locator and find your home club, the one you joined.^[3][4]
2. Go to that club’s page on anytimefitness.com and scroll to the Cancel my membership section.^[5]
3. Fill in your full name, phone number and your reason for the cancellation request.^[5]
4. Read the request text before you send it: it says the cancellation terms in your agreement, including any required notice periods or fees, will apply.^[5]
5. Save a copy or screenshot of what you sent and the date, then ask the club to confirm your cancellation date in writing.

If your agreement asks for written notice by mail or in person, send that too and keep proof. For example, one Nevada club told the BBB in February 2025 that its contract required a 30-day written notice to cancel, either by mail or in person.^[11]

Can you cancel Anytime Fitness by phone or in the AF App?

Call your home club to ask how it accepts cancellations; ABC Financial handles billing questions, not cancellations.^[1] Use the club locator to find your club’s contact details.

The AF App’s store listings don’t describe a way to cancel or freeze a gym membership, so use your home club.^[6][7][8]

Moved, or mostly working out at another Anytime Fitness?

Anytime Fitness memberships can be transferred by usage or by relocation, and a relocation transfer has to be more than 10 miles from your last residence.^[2] There’s no transfer fee, but your monthly dues could change with the new home gym.

A transfer by usage means your home club can change even if you never asked to move. One club’s agreement, quoted by that club in January 2024, let the franchisor transfer a member who primarily used another facility over a 60-day period.^[11]

Before you send a cancellation, confirm which club currently holds your account, so the request reaches the club that bills you.

Freeze your Anytime Fitness membership instead

A hold or suspension also goes through your home club.^[2] Club pages carry a Freeze my membership request worded for one month, which asks for your full name, phone number and reason for the freeze.^[5]

Anytime Fitness doesn’t publish a freeze fee, so ask your club about any cost before you send the request.

Note the end date: the freeze request says your membership resumes after the month is over. Put that date in your calendar, and cancel before it if you don’t plan to return.^[5]

Who handles what at Anytime Fitness

Only your home club is listed for cancellations; the billing and corporate contacts cover payments and feedback about a club.^[1]

Still charged after you canceled Anytime Fitness?

Members have reported dues still drafting after they canceled, and billing that kept going after a one-year term ended (September 2026).^[13] Others described bi-weekly drafts continuing after a relocation (February 2026) and a June 2023 hold reactivated three months later without notice (April 2025).^[12]

Send your saved request and the club’s confirmation to your home club and ask for a correction in writing. File any complaint with that club as well, since complaints go to the location where you’re a member.^[10]

For a charge you think was taken twice or is too high, call ABC Financial’s Financial Services line at 1-888-827-9262.^[2] A club can correct drafts taken after a documented cancellation date: one Wisconsin franchise operator canceled an account effective immediately and refunded $172.94 drafted after that date (March 2026).^[12]

If neither the club nor ABC Financial resolves it, your bank or card issuer can tell you how to dispute a charge.

Fee formulas or cooling-off periods quoted on other sites may come from another country’s Anytime Fitness terms, not a US club’s agreement.

Your account must be current first. Monthly dues stop within 30 days of the request, you keep 30 more days of gym access, and members on a 12-month term who cancel early owe the early termination fee in their agreement.

Fitness 19 is a network of independently owned and operated gyms. The fit19.com locations page lists 30 gyms in California and New Jersey (checked October 5, 2026), and its cancellation and pause instructions apply only to those listed gyms. If your gym isn’t listed, contact that gym directly for its own process.

If you only need a break, Fitness 19 also offers a membership pause of 1 to 4 months per calendar year (details below), but annual fees are still charged during a pause.

Fitness 19’s cancellation page lists three steps:

1. Open Fitness 19’s cancellation page and select Begin Cancellation, or go straight to cancel.fit19.com.
2. Fill in the personal details tied to your membership agreement so the page can find your account.
3. Make sure your account is current, then confirm the cancellation. You keep gym access for 30 more days.

Save a screenshot of the final confirmation screen and any email you receive; you may need it if a later charge appears.

If your gym isn’t listed on fit19.com

Fitness 19 says its online cancellation and pause instructions cover only the gyms shown on its locations page. Independently run Fitness 19 gyms with their own websites set their own process.

If your gym isn’t on that list:

1. Find your gym’s own contact details, for example on its website or on your membership agreement.
2. Call or visit the gym, say you want to cancel, and ask what notice, fees and final payments apply under your agreement.
3. Ask for written or emailed confirmation that shows the date your dues stop.

If the online form can’t find your account, call or visit your home club instead.

2. Cancellation by Phone Call

Fitness 19’s FAQ doesn’t give a central customer service number. It says to contact your gym by phone or in person, using the number on your location’s page.

1. Find your gym on the Fitness 19 locations page and open its page for the phone number.
2. Call the gym and say you want to cancel your membership.
3. Give the details on your membership agreement so staff can find your account, and settle any outstanding balance.
4. Ask for a confirmation email or text that shows the date your dues stop.

If you cannot cancel via phone, visit your gym.

3. Cancellation by Visiting GYM

Visit your local Fitness 19 gym during operating hours with your membership contract or card to request cancellation.

Some gyms may ask you to fill out a form. Ask staff for written or emailed confirmation rather than a verbal one, and check that it shows the date your dues stop.

Terms can differ between gyms because each Fitness 19 is independently owned; the membership agreement you signed is the document that applies to you.

What to Know Before Cancelling Your Fitness 19 Membership

Keep proof of your cancellation. In a BBB complaint dated April 1, 2026, a member reported cancelling in August 2025 and being billed again that December. Fitness 19’s BBB profile showed 27 complaints in the past three years (checked October 5, 2026).

To avoid surprise charges, check your bank or card statement after your next billing date, and contact your gym with your confirmation if a charge still appears.

Are There Cancellation Fees for Fitness 19 Membership?

Members on a 12-month term who cancel before the contract end date pay the early termination fee stated in their own membership agreement; Fitness 19 doesn’t publish a single amount. All outstanding fees and charges must be paid before you cancel. Late payments get a 24-hour grace period, then a $10 late fee for members who joined on or before December 31, 2025, or $15 for members who joined on or after January 1, 2026.

How Long Does It Take to Process a Fitness 19 Membership Cancellation?

Fitness 19’s cancellation terms say membership dues stop within 30 days of the cancellation request, and you can keep using the club for the rest of your current membership term.

The online cancellation page describes this as 30 additional days of gym access after you confirm, so check whether a billing date falls inside those 30 days.

If your gym isn’t listed on fit19.com, ask that gym how long its cancellations take.

Will I Receive a Refund if I Cancel My Fitness 19 Membership?

Fitness 19’s posted terms (last updated July 6, 2026) tie refunds to specific cancellation clauses in the membership agreement. They describe partial refunds on paid-in-full memberships when you move more than 25 miles away (with proof, minus a move fee), refunds for disability or death with documentation, and a 10-day processing period for refunds.

For anything else, check the refund section of your own agreement or ask your gym; the terms we could read don’t list a general refund for unused time.

How to Freeze or Pause Your Fitness 19 Membership

You can pause instead of cancelling at cancel.fit19.com (the Begin Pause button on Fitness 19’s pause page), or ask your gym. A pause lasts at least 1 month and at most 4 months per calendar year, can be requested twice a year, and can be shortened later.

Monthly dues drop to $0 while paused, but annual fees are still charged, and you can’t use your home club or any affiliate club. The pause starts within 7 days of the request, and one more EFT payment may be billed before it starts.

If you plan to return within a few months, a pause saves rejoining; if you won’t be back, cancel instead, since the annual fee keeps billing during a pause.
